As most of you know we did have some financial set-backs and short-falls with respect to equipment costs particularly having to
purchase a new Hobart glass washer. With the added costs of snow clearing, higher heating costs etc – it is always a worry. But
having stated this, Wing activities have had a much rosier impact on our bottom line.

Past Presidents Bill and Past President Ron are continuing to lend their skills adding to our successful TGIF Dinners. We get a three
course meal that you can’t beat anywhere for price, quality or taste.
Our Ways and Means/Entertainment activities have made great strides with our various Fall and Winter events. Most of
our functions have had a good participation level.
Our sponsorship of 515 Air Cadet Squadron remains our largest commitment. I have attended Cadet Parade nights with Sponsoring Committee
Chair Don Parsons and met with the Officers on several occasions this year. The Squadron continues to have challenges respecting
accommodations and training space due to the many changes by Department of National Defense in the Pleasantville area. We trust a
satisfactory solution will be forthcoming soon.
We are continuing our support of the Children’s Help Phone with our annual Paddy’s Night Dinner and Concert again this year.
I have referred in the past to an Operational Plan or Strategic Planning exercise. I have asked a group of our members namely
Maurice Murphy; Gary Archibald; Jean Collins; Bruce Tricco and House Committee Chair Sid Harvey to identify our Wing's structural
deficiencies. They are currently finalizing a prioritized list that will contain the buildings short and long term operation
requirements that are essential and the associated costs. As ours is an aging facility we must plan accordingly. Once the plan is
finalized a special meeting of the Wing will be convened In the interim, we are working on methods and ways to promote our
facilities and services throughout the city.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their continued support. Through your efforts your Wing will remain strong.
