As I noted in the last Wing Span, we have been meeting our financial obligations having had several successful
projects. Our Ways, Means and Entertainment committee under Vice president Bruce has made great
strides with our various events.
|
|
Most of our functions continue to have great participation level with the latest plans in place for Dinner and Dances etc. we
hope to raise a few more dollars that will help replace some windows, do some electrical upgrades and do some other costly
repairs that require our immediate attention.
|
|
House Committee Chair Sid Harvey continues identifying and repairing deficiencies as time, the weather and our financial
resources permit. As well last year we formed an Operational Planning Committee to review badly needed structural
repairs. In moving that initiative along, Gary Archibald is investigating, on our behalf, some economical ways
to accomplish this. Thereafter we will finalize a prioritized list of repairs that will be necessary over the next two years.

To complement this we are also working to promote our facilities by doing some target-marketing. Past President Bill is
continuing to lend his skills to our successful TGIF Dinners. As you know we get a great three-course meal that
you can't beat anywhere for price, quality or taste.

|
Before I sign off I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge Wing Span Editor Sid for his continued involvement and
guidance. He both writes and compiles this wonderful publication, which is, without question, informative and
educational. And I thank him not only for this but also preparing the many dinner programs, event tickets,
posters and the many other time consuming initiatives - including counseling us!
