Now that the long hot summer is over, I guess it’s time for our busy Fall
session to begin at the Wing. Our usual activities come to life, such as the
Wing Mixed Dart League, which begins on September 15. You can sign up at the
Wing, or call our Sports/Recreation chairman, Robin Davis at 726-4028 or Jean
at 753-8970. Please remember that in order to play, you must have your
membership paid in full.

Other important upcoming events are the TGIF dinners – details to be posted on
the Wing bulletin board, the Battle of Britain Remembrance, September 17, plus
the Flipper/Roast Beef Fest and Bingos, dates to be announced. Our annual Flea
Market is scheduled for October 14th Items for donation will be accepted from
September 12th onwards, so please don’t delay….clean your basements today! All
of our Wing events require volunteers, so your help would be greatly appreciated
to make these endeavours successful, thereby strengthening the financial position
of the Wing.

Our website (www.150rcafwing.com) has undergone a facelift. We are currently
in the process of adding content for its various sections. We are seeking
submissions of historical material on the 125 (NFLD) Squadron RAF and our 150
RCAF Wing, photos for our Photo Gallery, information on our 515 Air Cadet
Squadron, and any other special interest entries. Please be sure to have a
look, your feedback and suggestions are welcomed. Through our website we are
planning to raise our public profile and in turn increase our number of rentals.

Consideration has also been given to the publication and distribution of a
brochure promoting the facilities at our Wing. These efforts, plus the
continued efforts of our many volunteers will make this a successful year all
around.
|
|
Remember, the future of our Wing is in your hands.
