Fall is just around the corner and brings with it that time of year when activities at the Wing accelerate
into high gear. On Sunday September 16th, The Battle of Britain Church Parade will be held together
with a Wreath Laying Ceremony and a reception to follow at the Wing.
|
|
During September and October our ever popular Friday Night Wing Mixed Dart League and the scrumptious
TGIF Dinners will begin. Members will be notified of the start dates for these activities.
|
|
We are continually striving to improve the financial position of the Wing, and in this regard we require
increased support from all our members. Your participation is greatly needed in the following events: Ham
and Turkey Bingos, Armistice Dinner and Dance, The Great Fall Flipper/Prime Rib Fest, the Wing bake
sale and our New Year's Eve Gala. Check the Fall Events calendar in this bulletin for dates, times
and further details.

We have a busy year ahead with important items such as a New Member Strategy and a Comprehensive
Financial/Business Plan. Both initiatives are vital in order to maintain the viability of the Wing
in the future. This year will also call for our continued commitment to the 515 Air Cadet Squadron
and The Kids Help Phone.

|
In May of 2008, we will be hosting the Atlantic Group AFAC Convention at the Wing. Many volunteers
will be needed to make this a successful event so please do your part in helping out.
|
|
Again I would like to thank the Executive Council Members and all the volunteers who have given so
freely of their time and talents in the past and hope they will continue to do so in the future.
