With summer almost behind us, activities at the Wing are getting underway once again. I look forward to working with the new Executive Council members and
would like to thank all who served in the previous Executive Council – because it is largely because of their efforts that our Wing remains active
and functioning. Also I would like to welcome our newest members, Valerie Earle, Shirley Cole, Norma Butler and of course my wife Mary!

The Regatta BBQ was a great success due in large part to our many volunteers. Our fall schedule has been finalized and the respective committees are
in place. And, at this writing, we will be holding our Jiggs Dinner in a couple of days - for which we are having a great response.

We are attempting to increase your interests in the Wing and ask for your participation and/or suggestions. In recent years, while we have maintained
our membership, participation is often an issue with some of the events. We welcome any and all of your suggestions. If you have any recommendations I
would be most pleased to hear from you.

As you are no doubt aware an extra table or two at our Bingos, at the dinners and other social functions can increase our net revenues significantly and
make for much more successful events once our fixed cost are covered. We are again attempting to keep our events attractive and inviting for you. So please
check the Fall Events calendar in this bulletin for times and other details and schedule your attendance
into your calendar.

The Battle of Britain events will be held on September 20th , including the Church Parade and the Wreath Laying Ceremony. A reception will follow at
the Wing. The ever-popular Friday Night Wing Mixed Dart League and our TGIF Dinners will be held once again this Fall and
our traditional bingos, flipper dinners etc will also be continued. We are planning a fun-filled year and we hope that you will
continue to participate and enjoy!
